A meeting was held between the Ministers of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan

Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov is on an official visit to Uzbekistan.A bilateral meeting was held between Minister Majnun Mammadov and Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov  within the framework of the visit .

At the meeting, discussions were held on the implementation of the tasks set by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to strengthen cooperation between the two countries during their mutual official visits, as well as the future directions of cooperation.

It was mentioned that cooperation between the two countries in all areas is developing dynamically. Both countries support initiatives to strengthen cooperation in all areas.

The implementation of the road map on cooperation in the agricultural field prepared between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan was discussed detailly at the meeting. The parties emphasized that it is commendable to determine the main directions of cooperation on the road map.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan on taking concrete steps as soon as possible in the fields of Sericulture, hazelnut, wine-making, agricultural machinery and other fields of Agriculture.

At the same time, issues related to the 26th meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic states and the “Agribusiness Forum” event to be held in Baku on September 26 were also debated at the meeting.

Other issues of mutual interest were brainstormed as well at the meeting.
