Minister Majnun Mammadov participated in the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation

Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan participated in the opening ceremony of “Discover Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha” International Horticultural exhibition

Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov attended the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Food Security and Agricultural Development in Doha, Qatar.

OIC agriculture ministers discussed issues such as promoting rural development, preventing food waste, efficient water resources management, increasing investments in the agricultural sector, strengthening digital transformation in the agricultural sector and others at the conference.

Then Minister Majnun Mammadov attended the opening ceremony of the International Horticultural Exhibition “Discover Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha”, which started its activity in Doha. Firstly, the Minister got acquainted with the Azerbaijani pavilion built by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and then attended the opening ceremony of the pavilion of the Republic of Turkey. Our Minister who has met  with Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkiye Ibrahim Yumakli, highly appreciated the participation of the brotherly country in the International Horticultural exhibition “Discover Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha”. Majnun Mammadov then got acquainted with the pavilions of other countries operating at the exhibition and exchanged views with the exhibitors.

It should be emphasized that the International Horticultural Exhibition “Discover Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha” will run until March 28, 2024. The exhibition was organized in Al Bidda Park, one of the largest parks in Doha. The exhibition is held under the motto "Green Desert, better environment"
