Azerbaijan will expand agricultural cooperation with Poland and North Macedonia

The delegation led by Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov visited Poland and North Macedonia. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the prospects for cooperation between our countries in the field of Agriculture, to develop partnership relations in various directions of the agrarian sector.

Minister Majnun Mammadov first met with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, Robert Telus. It was noted at the meeting that Azerbaijan and Poland cooperate successfully in agriculture as well as in many other areas. There is great potential for further expansion of this cooperation. By properly assessing the existing potential, it is possible to increase the trade turnover of agricultural products between the two countries. During the meeting, fruitful discussions were held on scientific research, education, specialist training, land consolidation, agrarian innovations, digitalization of Agriculture and other topics, and an agreement was reached about the establishment of a working group on cooperation in the field of Agriculture.

The delegation led by Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of the Republic of North Macedonia, Lyubcho Nikolovski. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between our countries in the agrarian sector. At the end of the meeting, Azerbaijan and North Macedonia signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of Agriculture. The Memorandum envisages the creation of a joint working group on the agrarian sector between the two countries, expanding cooperation in the fields of crop production, livestock, agrarian education, specialist training, land consolidation and others.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of leading agricultural enterprises in Poland and North Macedonia, views exchanged on reducing agricultural waste, efficient use of water and land resources, innovative environmental solutions, and implemented successful practices.
