A meeting of the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov with entrepreneurs was held with the initiation of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan

On December 2, The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (employers) organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a meeting of entrepreneurs with the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov.

The meeting was attended by the heads of relevant departments of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Opening the event, Secretary General of the Confederation Natavan Mammadova spoke about the effectiveness of public-private dialogue and the role of this platform in the development of our economy. She said that about 100 entrepreneurs covering various sectors of Agriculture participated in the event.

In his opening speech, Minister Majnun Mammadov noted the growing dynamics associated with the production, processing and export of agricultural products in our country and stressed that they are ready to listen to the views of the private sector in this area and cooperate.

President of the Confederation of entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev thanked the minister of Agriculture for this cooperation with the private sector. He said that the Confederation would provide appropriate support to the solution of the issues raised at the meeting.

Speaking at the event, Natig Hasanov, first deputy chairman of the board of Directors of SME, Zakir Nuriyev, Vice-President of the Confederation, expressed their views on the development of the agricultural sector.

Speaking at the meeting, the entrepreneurs mainly discussed the tax issues arising during the processing of agricultural products and the sale of processed products, as well as the improvement of the VAT refund mechanism during the export of agricultural products, expansion of the export market, establishment of the food chain, lack of personnel, introduction of raw materials benefits, consideration of quality issues in state support, they touched upon the creation of opportunities for the development of organic agriculture in the liberated territories and other issues.

The sides exchanged views on the issues raised at the meeting, and the proposals were recorded. The participants noted the importance of expanding such dialogue platforms in the direction of expanding public-private cooperation.
