8th Meeting of the Working Group on raising the level of self-sufficiency in wheat food was realized

Working Group's 8th meeting established for the implementation of Decree No. 1754 dated in July 19, 2022 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On a number of measures to increase the level of self-sufficiency with food wheat" was realized.

Officials of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministries of Agriculture, Economy, and Finance, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Water Resources of Azerbaijan, State Resources agencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and "Azerishiq" Open Joint Stock Company participated in the meeting chaired by the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov.

At the meeting, the state of implementation of the food wheat program within the framework of the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 economic years was analyzed, the difficulties faced by farmers who have recently applied to build pivot irrigation systems, the provision of infrastructure (irrigation water and electricity), and the supply of food wheat for the 2024 harvest. other issues encountered within the framework of the organization and implementation of the food wheat program were discussed and decisions were made in the direction of solving these issues.
