Subsidies in animal husbandry will also be provided via EAIS-SIS

13 January 2020

Farmers will also be provided by subsidies in animal husbandry via Electronical Agricultural Information System - Subsidies Information System (EAIS-SIS).

From January 1 of this year, for every healthy calf born as a result of artificial insemination of local animals, farmers have to enter relevant information and apply for a subsidy. Farmers will be provided with information on a Specialist of Artificial Insemination (SAI) who works in close proximity to the system. The farmer registers the animal that he wants for artificial insemination, as well as the calf born as a result of artificial insemination. The farmer may contact an artificial insemination specialist to provide artificial insemination, inform about the animal, and if verbal agreement is made, the breeding time will be indicated. After artificial insemination and the birth of a calf, the veterinary specialists of the system approved the medical information of the Agro Services Agency and the Agency for Agro Credit and Development conducts appropriate monitoring. Administrative rules for this type of subsidy are available at this address https://www.dxr.az/xidmet/01DB9685-C78F-489D-BBB9-CB0385324D1C/23A0CB12-5A60-C311-BF0D-6C3BE51E53F1.

It was noted that those who want to become experts in artificial insemination and carry out artificial insemination of animals with high-quality seeds can apply for support to the Ministry of Agriculture.

In the coming months, farmers will be informed about seed subsidies and other types of animal husbandry subsidies (bee, cocoon) for farmers and the launch of electronic services.

Recall that the subsidy for animals was set at 100 manat for each healthy calf born as a result of artificial insemination of local animals.

The bee subsidy for beekeeper farmers is set at 10 manats per calendar year and will be provided until 2023.

In addition, farmers who are cocoon producers give a cement subsidy in the amount of 5 manat per kilogram (excluding twisted and armored cocoons), which is produced and delivered to the supplier.
