The delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov is on an official visit to the Republic of Hungary. During the visit, Minister Majnun Mammadov met with Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Istvan Nagy. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and companies operating in the agricultural sector attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture. Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov recalled that at the meetings held so far, an agreement was reached on the transfer of modern technologies in the agrarian sector, training of specialists, involvement of young Azerbaijani specialists in long-term internship programs in Hungary, continuation of cooperation in the field of animal husbandry (embryo transfer), study of Hungarian experience in the field of poultry farming and It was emphasized that it is important to further expand relations between the two countries in the field of agriculture, and it was noted that the activity of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Working Group in the field of agriculture is of great importance.
Taking into account the economic potential of the two countries, the Azerbaijani side drew attention to the importance of further diversification of trade relations and increasing trade turnover. Minister Majnun Mammadov invited his Hungarian counterpart to visit Azerbaijan and offered him to get acquainted with large-scale measures aimed at restoration, reconstruction and creation of necessary infrastructure in our liberated historical lands. Noting that Azerbaijan cooperates with friendly countries in the direction of restoration and development of Agriculture in these territories, the minister called on Hungarian entrepreneurs to evaluate investment opportunities in these territories.
Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Istvan Nagy, in turn, said that Hungary is a friendly country with Azerbaijan and is interested in developing partnership relations in all areas. He noted that the intensification of trade relations between the two countries and the expansion of relations in the agrarian sector are of great importance.
Istvan Nagy gladly accepted this invitation and stressed that he would visit Azerbaijan in the near future.
During the meeting, an extensive exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
