Minister Majnun Mammadov met with members of the Board of the Association of Food and Beverage Industrialists of Azerbaijan

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Food and Beverage Industrialists of Azerbaijan. Support mechanisms for the development of the food and beverage sector, expansion of public-private partnership and other issues were discussed at the meeting attended by the leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and the leaders of the country's leading food and beverage production companies.

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said that the combination of companies and entrepreneurs working in the food and beverage industry in a single association are factors that have a positive effect on the development of this field. Reminding that food production is an integral part of the country's food security, the minister informed the meeting participants about the state policy, support mechanisms, export promotion, concessions to entrepreneurs and other issues in our country. Recalling the Association's participation in the "Caspian Agro" Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition, the minister emphasized the importance of continuous participation of the companies represented in AQISA in local and international exhibitions.

Emin Dostiyari, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industry Association, gave extensive information about the activities of the organization he leads and noted that the main goal of the Association is to protect the interests of entrepreneurs operating in the food and beverage industry and achieve the development of this sector. Emin Dostiyari said that industrialists specializing in food and beverage production operating in our country, entrepreneurs involved in retail sales, import and export unite in the association, and said that their main mission is to actively contribute to the country's economic development, promote sector cooperation and innovations.

At the meeting, supporting the access of dried fruit and processed saffron products to foreign markets, expanding the access of meat processing products to Russian markets, lack of raw materials in dairy processing enterprises, reducing dependence on imports, simplifying customs procedures related to exports, expanding the application of modern technology and innovations in food and beverage production, and other issues there was a wide exchange of ideas around it.

The proposals voiced by the entrepreneurs were recorded, and relevant tasks were given for the evaluation and implementation of the proposals.
