Minister Majnun Mammadov met with members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with a delegation of members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye led by Head of the Azerbaijan-Turkey interparliamentary friendship group Shamil Ayrim.

Welcoming the guests, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said that the Republic of Türkiye, as in all spheres, is a reliable partner of Azerbaijan in the field of Agriculture. It was noted that fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agrarian research, education, cotton-growing, seed-growing, veterinary medicine, agrarian insurance and others continues successfully.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that there is a great potential for expanding mutual relations between the two countries in the field of agriculture, and the need to increase the trade turnover of agricultural and food products, in particular, to expand the export of products produced by Azerbaijan to Turkish and European markets was brought to the attention.

Shamil Ayrim, in turn, said that friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are developing successfully in all areas. He expressed confidence that friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye will continue to strengthen and expand in all areas, including inter-parliamentary cooperation.

At the meeting, sides exchanged views on improving the legislative framework of cooperation in the field of agriculture.
