Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the delegation of the Republic of Belarus

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with a delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazarchuk. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Ministry, representatives of various government agencies of the Republic of Belarus.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Majnun Mammadov said that our country attaches great importance to cooperation with Belarus in the field of agriculture. Recalling that one of the main topics of discussion during the mutual visits of officials of the two countries is to expand cooperation in the agrarian sphere, Minister stressed that continuous work is underway in this direction. Noting that Azerbaijan showed great interest in the experience of building agricultural settlements and agro-industrial complexes in Belarus, Minister said that there is a great potential for increasing the volume of trade turnover of agricultural products.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Nazarchuk said that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture is developing at an increasing pace. Recalling that his country was represented by a special pavilion at the 17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition - “Caspian Agro”, held in Baku in May, and the Azerbaijani delegation participated in the exhibition “Belagro”, the deputy minister said that such platforms serve the further development of mutual relations. Igor Nazarchuk said that the desire of both countries to mutually benefit from their rich experience in various directions of the agrarian sector allows to further expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the field of agriculture. 

The sides exchanged views on topical issues of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus in the field of agriculture.
