A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed between Brazil and Azerbaijan

Minister Majnun Mammadov held bilateral meetings within the framework of his visit to Brazil.

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov realized bilateral meetings within the framework of the Meeting of Agriculture Ministers of the “Big twenty” (G20) countries in Kuyaba city of Brazil.

Minister Majnun Mammadov first met with Brazili's Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Favaro. During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil in the agrarian sector and the creation of a legal and contractual base, increasing the trade turnover of agricultural products, the transfer of the most modern technologies in the agrarian sector, strengthening cooperation in the field of animal husbandry, implementation of internship programs in the agricultural sector were discussed.

During the bilateral meeting, Azerbaijan and Brazil signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of Agriculture. The document was signed by Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture, Majnun Mammadov and Brazilia's Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Favaro.

The Memorandum of Understanding reflects the directions of further cooperation in the agrarian sector. According to the document, the parties agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of exchange of scientific and technological innovations in the field of agriculture, organization of trainings and seminars in the agricultural sphere, agrarian research, development of agricultural infrastructure, organization of trade missions, promotion of private sector involvement in business events.

It should be mentioned that during his visit to Brazil, Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the heads of delegations of participating countries and representatives of international organizations. At the meetings, the importance of creating a Joint Working Group between our countries in the field of Agriculture was touched upon and confidence was expressed that the Working Group's activities would contribute to cooperation in the agrarian sphere.

During the meetings, it was emphasized that there is a great potential for expanding mutual relations in the field of agriculture. The sides emphasized their interest in expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture and the importance of holding meetings in this format.
