The 12th Berlin Conference of Agriculture Ministers and the 12th Global Forum on Food and Agriculture were held as part of the 85th International Green Week Exhibition in Berlin on January 17-26. The conference, which is a meeting platform for agriculture ministers, is an important international event.
Representatives from 72 countries attended in the Berlin Conference of Agriculture Ministers this year. Inam Karimov, Minister of Agriculture represented Azerbaijan at the international event. The conference was held under the slogan of the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture, "Food for All: Safe, Different, and Sustainable Foods."
The final declaration of the conference calls for the collective solution of four major global trade issues. These challenges include trade for global food security, directing trade to agricultural development, creating inclusive, sustainable, safe value chains, and ensuring fair rules for trade in agricultural products.
International discussions on agricultural policy shaped by the shared position of the Ministers of Agriculture in the Final Declaration.
The International Green Week Exhibition, one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in the world, was first organized in 1926, 94 years ago. Azerbaijan is represented for the 12th time in this exhibition.
Azerbaijani companies participate in the exhibition with the support of the Ministry of Economy, organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
The exhibition area for Azerbaijan was 98 square meters. More than 180 types of products were presented to visitors by 11 participating companies. Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov and Ambassador Ramin Hasanov attended the opening of the Azerbaijani stand. They were familiarized with the products of Azerbaijani companies and held several meetings.
