5th meeting of Azerbaijan-Russia Working Group on agricultural area held in Baku

The 5th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Working Group in the field of agriculture was held between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Elchin Zeynalov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Sergey Levin, representatives of relevant structures and enterprises operating in the agrarian sector of the two countries.

At the meeting, the current situation in agriculture between Azerbaijan and Russia was touched upon, and the sides emphasized the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in the field of agriculture, as well as in all sectors of the economy.

At the meeting of the Working Group, cooperation between the two countries in the fields of increasing the trade turnover of agricultural and food products, the transfer of the most modern technologies in the agrarian sector, digitalization, implementation of internship programs in the fields of research and education and other issues were discussed. It was noted that there is great potential for expanding relations between the two countries in the field of Agriculture.

The sides expressed their interest in cooperation on the issues discussed and exchanged views on the prospects for further cooperation. Within the framework of the meeting, new opportunities for cooperation in the field of Agriculture were considered, and the importance of establishing a continuous dialogue between organizations in order to expand relations was emphasized.
