A meeting was held between the ministers of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and Turkey

Declaration of intent on cooperation in the field of animal husbandry and animal health was signed between the two countries.

A meeting was held between a delegation led by Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov and a delegation led by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye Ibrahim Yumakli, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said that friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are developing successfully in the agrarian sphere as well as in all spheres. Both states closely and effectively cooperate in the fields of agrarian research, education, cotton growing, seed growing, veterinary medicine, agrarian insurance and others.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye Ibrahim Yumakli, in turn, expressed his country's interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the agrarian sector, as well as in other sectors of the economy. He expressed confidence that the cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture will further expand.

At the meeting, the directions of future cooperation between the two countries in the agrarian sector were discussed. During the meeting, discussions were held on the issues of scientific research in the field of agriculture, expansion of cooperation in the fields of agrarian education, animal husbandry, animal health, training of specialists in the field of veterinary medicine.

Within the framework of the meeting, a declaration of intent was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye on strengthening cooperation in the field of animal husbandry and animal health. According to the document, the parties agreed on the exchange of experience in combating animal diseases, the organization of joint trainings, the implementation of research and control measures related to the assessment of the health status of animals, the attraction of investments in the field of animal husbandry, strengthening and promoting relations between businessmen operating in this field.
