Minister Majnun Mammadov met with Ambassador of Egypt to Azerbaijan

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan Hisham Mohamed Nagy Abdel Hamid.

Welcoming the guest, minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said that close friendly relations between our countries allow to develop cooperation in the field of agriculture as well as in all spheres. Informing the guest about state support for the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan, the minister said that our country is interested in expanding cooperation with Egypt in the agrarian sector.

The parties discussed the strengthening of the legal and contractual base between Azerbaijan and Egypt in the agrarian sector, the creation of a Joint Working Group between the two countries in the field of agriculture, increasing the trade turnover of agricultural and food products, the participation of entrepreneurs from Egypt in the Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition ("Caspian Agro") and other issues. It was emphasized that there is great potential for the expansion of mutual relations between the two countries in the field of Agriculture.

During the meeting, an extensive exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
