The Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Growing has been presented with an accreditation certificate

The public legal entity “Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Growing” has been accredited by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC). An event dedicated to the presentation of the certificate of accreditation to the public legal entity “Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Growing” was held at the event realized at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov mentioned that in recent years, as a result of the high attention paid by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to the non-oil sector in our country, agriculture, one of the leading sectors of the economy, has entered a new stage of development. In modern times, the development of the agricultural sector on a scientific basis and the application of scientific and technical progress to the agricultural sector are among the most important priorities. Expanding the application of science and innovations in agriculture, research conducted in the agricultural sector are important factors in increasing productivity and ensuring sustainable development. The effective use of scientific potential and modern approaches further accelerates the process of achieving effective results and creating scientifically based innovative farms in the country.

Professor Famil Mustafayev, Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided detailed information on the accreditation procedure, the improvement of related regulatory and legal acts within the framework of the reforms carried out in the country, and the activities of the commission in this area. The professor emphasized that the accreditation process is of particular importance in ensuring the organization and management of scientific activities at enterprises, the effectiveness of scientific programs and scientific research. He noted that, in accordance with Article 24 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Science” and the “Rules for Accreditation of Scientific Organizations”, based on the project “Accreditation of Scientific Organizations for Doctoral Training”, the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted a decision on the accreditation of the public legal entity “Vegetable Scientific Research Institute” under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 28, 2022.

Later, the certificate of accreditation of the public legal entity “Vegetable Scientific Research Institute” was presented to the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov.

It should be noted that the working group established by the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan conducted relevant monitoring in all areas of the Institute. These monitoring covered science, production, personnel training, financial management, material and technical base, the state of all types of legal and scientific documentation, laboratory services and research, and other areas. As a result of the monitoring, recommendations consisting of 11 points were submitted to the Institute and a 2-year deadline was given for the implementation of these works. During the past period, work on all points was fully implemented.

During repeated monitoring in November 2024, the working group determined that all work was performed at a high level, and all supporting documents were submitted to the Supreme Attestation Commission. At the meeting of the Presidium of the SAC, a decision was made to accredit the public legal entity "Vegetable Scientific Research Institute" and issue the relevant certificate.
