Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Bar Association

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with the leadership of the Bar Association.

Welcoming the guests, Minister said that as a result of the purposeful policy pursued by the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the legal state building and the rule of law are ensured in our republic. The functioning of the judicial system in our country is being improved, human rights and freedoms are reliably protected.

Measures are successfully underway to form a high-profile justice in society that meets the requirements of the modern era. Chairman of the Presidium of the Bar Association Anar Bagirov, in turn, gave detailed information about the improvement of the functioning of the judicial-legal system, the reforms carried out in this area, and the work done by The Bar Association. Anar Bagirov stressed that through legislative and institutional reforms, effective defense mechanisms have been formed in our country in the direction of ensuring the rights and freedoms of Man and citizen.

Calling the Institute of advocacy an important institution participating in the administration of justice in our country, the chairman of the Bar Association brought to the attention that reliable protection of human rights and freedoms, interests protected by law and providing them with professional, high-quality and honest legal assistance is one of the main tasks.

During the meeting, the issues of improving the activities of state bodies in terms of ensuring human rights, establishing legal services provided to the population at the level of modern requirements, increasing the quality and efficiency, the importance of creating effective and business relations in this area, the formation of specialized lawyers in the agrarian sector and other issues were discussed. Within the framework of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and The Bar Association. The document includes preparation of proposals on improvement of legislation in the field of Agriculture, holding seminars, trainings, conferences and campaign events on legal education for subjects of Agricultural Relations, employees of the Ministry of Agriculture, lawyers, individuals and legal entities operating in the agrarian sector, taking measures on teaching agrarian law at the Academy of Bar Association, promoting scientific and scientific-practical, consideration of cooperation opportunities in the framework of international projects is reflected.

At the end of the event, issues of mutual interest were discussed and views on future cooperation directions were exchanged.
