The Agricultural Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture is announcing recruitment for vacant positions. Any adequate candidate who is confident in their professionalism, knowledge and skills can participate in the selection.
Vacancy: Department of Analytics, Analysis and evaluation of investment projects division, Senior Specialist
Job responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data, preparing comprehensive analytical presentations and reports;
- Conduct financial modeling, and in-depth analytical evaluations;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of investment projects;
- Develop feasibility studies for projects, assessing their economic, budgetary, social, and environmental impact;
- Identify risk factors and assess their potential impact;
- Develop an investment strategy in accordance with the established risk profile and financial goals;
- Facilitate the development of model investment projects and establish collaborations with internal and external stakeholders;
- Prepare key concepts and development initiatives related to the analysis and evaluation of investment projects, in coordination with relevant departments and institutions;
- Execute additional tasks assigned by the employer and direct supervisor as required.
Required knowledge, experience and skills:
- A higher education degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Azerbaijani and English (Russian is preferred);
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and evaluation techniques, including financial projections;
- Possession of international certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or FRM (Financial Risk Manager) is highly desirable;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications;
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience;
- Knowledge of the agricultural, food, and related sectors is an advantage;
- Strong analytical thinking, business communication, adaptability to fast-paced environments, and problem-solving abilities;
- Effective presentation skills;
- Commitment to workplace discipline and adherence to corporate policies;
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Job responsibilities:
- Engage in data collection, conduct financial and analytical assessments, and contribute to the preparation of comprehensive analytical presentations and reports;
- Conduct preliminary analyses of investment projects, assessing their financial outcomes and overall efficiency;
- Facilitate the development of model investment projects;
- Prepare technical and economic feasibility studies for projects;
- Conduct financial analysis of investment projects and contribute to the development of financial models for forecasting;
- Identify potential project risks and provide recommendations for their management;
- Execute additional tasks assigned by the employer and direct supervisor as required.
Required knowledge and skills:
- A higher education degree in Finance, Economics or related fields;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Azerbaijani and English;
- Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting and assessment tools;
- Possession of international certificates such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), ACCA Financial Accounting (FA) is highly desirable;
