"Agricultural Development Volunteers" Organization has implemented the "Agrodata" project within the framework of the joint cooperation of Ganja Automobile Plant and "Azmash leasing" with the organizational support of the Agricultural Research Center. The main goal of the project is to explain the role of data analytics in agriculture, improve knowledge and skills in this area, as well as contribute to the implementation of more effective solutions in the agricultural sector by promoting innovative approaches. For this purpose, trainings were held for agricultural development volunteers.
The director of the Agricultural Research Center Rashad Huseynov made a presentation on “Linear programming models” and answered the questions of volunteers during the trainings that lasted for several days.
Advisor to the director of the center Parviz Aliyev made two presentations within the framework of the project - “Approaches to assessing the effectiveness of state regulation in the field of agriculture” and “Methodologies for assessing the development of the agrarian sector by scenarios through general and partial equilibrium models”. During these trainings, participants gained new knowledge on methods of assessing the effectiveness of state regulation in the agrarian sector, as well as the application of equilibrium models in the agrarian sector, scenario-based assessment methods and optimal decision-making.
Royala Alishzadeh, a leading specialist of the Diagnostic and strategic planning section of the analytics department of the Agricultural Research Center, also made two presentations within the framework of the “Data analytics” module - “What is data analytics? Why is Data important today? He also made presentations on” basic data types, statistical concepts, sample and sample selection group, visualization of categorical variables". Thanks to these sessions, volunteers got acquainted with the process of data analysis, use of statistical methods and data-based decision-making in agriculture, gained theoretical and practical knowledge.
In the practical part of the training, participants underwent experiments on different sets of information.
