Minister Majnun Mammadov visited farms in Kalbajar and Aghdara and met with farmers

Within the framework of his visit to Karabakh, the delegation led by Minister Majnun Mammadov visited farms in Kalbajar and Agdara and met with farmers.

During the visit, the minister met with special representative of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Bashir Hajiyev and employees of the office in Kalbajar district. During the meeting, it was noted that under the leadership of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, large-scale restoration and construction work was carried out in all the liberated territories, including Kalbajar, and it was noted that construction work was continued rapidly according to the General Plan of the city of Kalbajar.

The delegation got acquainted with the construction work carried out in the region.

Later, in Kalbajar region, a meeting was held in the special representation of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the topic of creation of the necessary infrastructure, restoration and development of agrarian activity in the lands suitable for cultivation in Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions, which will have an important share in the agrarian sector of Azerbaijan. Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, special representative of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kalbajar District Bashir Hajiyev, responsible persons of the Ministry and special representative office and farmers attended the meeting.

At the meeting, discussions were held on the organization of the migration process of sheep and beekeeping farms to the pastures in the liberated territories, the development of agriculture in Kalbajar. Farmers participating in the event shared their views on the development of the agrarian sector and put forward proposals on the organization of migration to the Highlands. The proposals were recorded and the questions of the participants of the event were answered.

Within the framework of the visit, the minister inspected the experimental yak farm created in Kalbajar pastures, exchanged views on the process of adaptation of yaks and newborn calves to local conditions, yaks care rules, feed rations, preparation for the period of the fetus, animal diseases.

Then the delegation reviewed the farm of small ruminant livestock and arable land in Umudlu village of Agdara. The importance of timely and qualitative implementation of agrotechnical measures, application of innovative technologies in the agricultural sector, transition to modern agricultural technologies, development of livestock farming, the importance of creation of specialized meat and dairy cattle breeding farms, provision of feed in animal husbandry were exchanged at the meetings with the employees of the farm, farmers were widely used the mechanisms of support, it was noted that state support mechanisms will stimulate the development of agriculture, which is considered the main area of employment in the country.
