The Forum discussed the expansion of mutual investment and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova and the definition of new prospects for cooperation.
Within the framework of the 6th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova, the Azerbaijan-Moldova business forum was held in Baku with the support of the ministries of Economy and Agriculture of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, the export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, the Along with officials from both countries, representatives of 40 companies representing agriculture, food, light industry, cosmetics, tobacco growing and other sectors attended the event.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov emphasized the opportunities for joint activities between the two countries in the field of economic and trade and noted that there is a wide potential for the implementation of joint projects in this direction. The minister brought to the attention the importance of sharing experience in the fields of Agrarian technologies, food security and export of products, and said that the partnership in this sector will be of mutual benefit to both countries.
Minister of infrastructure and regional development of Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea noted the deepening of relations between the two countries. He stressed that business forums are an important platform for establishing relations between business circles, such events create conditions for the creation of new investment opportunities, contribute to the expansion of trade turnover and sustainable economic cooperation.
Deputy Minister of economy Rovnag Abdullayev noted that constructive and mutually beneficial economic dialogue between Azerbaijan and Moldova plays an important role in expanding the bilateral legal framework of our countries. The deputy minister highly appreciated the importance of meetings held at different levels in diversifying the agenda of business relations.
Yusif Abdullayev, executive director of AZPROMO, and Orkhan Mammadov, chairman of the Board of the small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), spoke at the business forum and informed about the work done to support Azerbaijan's business environment, investment opportunities and entrepreneurship. State secretary of the Ministry of Economy and digitalization of Moldova Viorel Garaz and director of the Investment Agency of Moldova Nataliya Beyan spoke about the economic priorities of their countries and opportunities created for foreign investors.
As part of the event, an exhibition of Moldovan Wines was organized. The Forum continued with meetings in B2B format.
