Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov got acquainted with the activities of intensive horticulture and livestock farms located in the Tartar and Barda regions.
As part of the visit, the minister first visited the farms of Agropat LLC, which is engaged in horticulture and agriculture, located in the Kangarli village and Sugovushan settlement of the Tartar region. It was reported that the company is engaged in intensive horticulture activities on 236 hectares and its main goal is to produce high-quality cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots and dates and export the products to both domestic and foreign markets. Since 2021, the company has made significant progress in its export activities and has exported most of the products produced to Russia and other CIS countries. Currently, active work is being carried out to export products to European and Middle Eastern markets.
Minister Majnun Mammadov got acquainted with the activities of sunflower oil and seed production enterprises. During the meetings held at the enterprises, views were exchanged on the steps to be taken in the direction of quality product production, increasing export opportunities, diversifying exports and the work done in this direction, the transfer of advanced experience to other producers, opportunities for cooperation with scientific research institutions, and measures to be taken to strengthen the human resource potential in this area were discussed.
Later, Minister Majnun Mammadov got acquainted with the livestock complex of “Aydin Agro” LLC located in the Barda district. It was reported that 1,300 Holstein-Friesian animals are kept in the complex specialized in dairy farming. The complex produces 6,570 tons of high-quality milk per year. The livestock complex, which includes 4 stables, a garage, a silo well, a warehouse and additional auxiliary buildings, is equipped with fully automated milking systems, sensor technologies that monitor the health of animals, and feed production equipment. The application of modern technologies allows for increasing the efficiency of milk production and achieving high productivity. In the future, it is planned to increase milk production to 9,125 tons per year.
