Scientific Secretary of the Agricultural Research Center Akif Valiyev was awarded the academic title of Professor

Akif Hamza Valiyev, scientific secretary of the Agricultural Research Center, doctor of economics, was awarded the scientific title of professor. At the meeting of the Higher Attestation Commission held on June 25, A. Valiyev was presented with the “Professor Certificate”. The certificate states: “By the Resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 20.06.2025, Akif Hamza Valiyev was awarded the scientific title of professor in the field of economic sciences 5312.01 - Field economics for his scientific activity”.

On behalf of the management and staff of the Agricultural Research Center, we congratulate Professor Akif on being awarded the high scientific title and wish him new successes in his fruitful scientific activity.

Akif Valiyev received the scientific title of candidate of agricultural sciences in 1981. In 1991, he was awarded the scientific title of associate professor.

In 1992-1997, he worked as the Deputy Chairman, then the First Deputy Chairman, and also the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Land Committee.

From 1998 to May 2018, he worked as a senior researcher, department head, and scientific secretary at the Scientific-Research Institute of Economics and Organization of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2016, he defended his doctoral dissertation and received the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Economics.

Since July 2018, he has been a senior specialist in the Doctoral and Scientific-Organizational Affairs Department of the Agricultural Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, and since February 2019, he has been the head of the department, and since 2021, he has been the scientific secretary of the Center.

He has published more than 150 scientific works in prestigious international and local scientific journals, 2 booklets, 3 bulletins and 2 methodological instructions. He is the author of 3 scientific books and 1 collective monograph.
