Minister Majnun Mammadov get acquainted with the activities of livestock breeding and wine production enterprises located in Shamakhi

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov got acquainted with the activities of livestock and wine production enterprises located in the Shamakhi district.

As part of the visit, Minister Majnun Mammadov first visited a 150-head dairy farm located in the village of Kallakhana, Shamakhi district. Minister was informed about the work carried out at the enterprise, and exchanged views on the issues of further improvement of the production process, development of livestock and dairy farming, the importance of creating specialized beef and dairy cattle farms, the application of modern technologies in production, feed supply in livestock farming, and the importance of innovative feeding.

The meeting exchanged views on the activities of the enterprise, future development plans, transfer of advanced experience to other producers, human resource potential in this field and steps to be taken to strengthen it, and opportunities for cooperation with the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University in order to increase the professionalism of specialists.

During the visit, Minister Majnun Mammadov got acquainted with the activities of small wine producers located in the Shamakhi region and inspected wineries located in the Meysari and Malikchoban villages of the region, which are engaged in home wine production. It was noted that local wines prepared using traditional methods are the embodiment of our country's cultural heritage, hard work and craftsmanship. The synthesis of traditional knowledge with modern technologies ensures the improvement of local product quality, expansion of export potential and strengthening of agrotourism opportunities, and socio-economic development of regions. Supporting small wineries is of great importance in the sustainable development of the country's winemaking sector and diversification of agriculture.

During the meetings, views were exchanged on the difficulties encountered by small winemakers during production, steps to be taken to expand agrotourism, and the work currently being done in this direction. It was noted that research is being conducted to support small wine producers, and that the development of this area will play a significant role in increasing the well-being of producers by contributing to the tourism potential of the region.
