MINISTER MAJNUN MAMMADOV VISITED FARMERS AND MET WITH FARMERS IN KALBAJAR

On July 18, the delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov visited farms in Kalbajar as part of its visit to Karabakh and met with farmers.

As part of the visit, the minister first met with Bashir Hajiyev, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kalbajar region, and the employees of the Representation. The meeting discussed the restoration and development of agricultural activity in the liberated territories, the organization of the process of migrating sheep and beekeeping farms to the pastures in the liberated territories, the current situation and monitoring in this area, the organizational issues of the honey festival planned to be held in Kalbajar, and the establishment of agrotourism farms. As part of the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the newly opened beekeeping products sales store and veterinary pharmacy in the region.

Then, the delegation visited livestock and beekeeping farms that have migrated to the pastures in Kalbajar and were interested in the general condition of the pastures, animal housing conditions, productivity indicators, and veterinary measures. The meeting was attended by farmers who exchanged views on the development of the agricultural sector, shared their views on the development of livestock breeding, and put forward proposals for organizing migration to the pastures. The proposals were recorded, and questions of interest to the event participants were answered.
