Greenhouses, refrigerating warehouses and grain elevators will be registered at EAIS

Changes have been made to the “Regulation on the E-agriculture Information System”. In this regard, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a corresponding decree.

According to the decree, greenhouses operating in the country, refrigerating warehouses where products are stored and grain elevators will be registered in EAIS. Farmers will regularly enter the system in accordance with the report forms established for them in EAIS on refrigerating warehouses, grain elevators and greenhouses used to store the supplied products.

For timely and flexible adoption of urgent decisions in the field of economic policy in the conditions caused by the pandemic, it is important to promptly monitor the processes taking place in the economy and regularly inform state bodies about this in order to include information in the relevant electronic database and ensure access to this electronic database for all relevant structures.

In this regard,

a) management of food resources in the country and taking preventive measures to eliminate the risks that may arise in this area,

b) assessment of the level of use of existing refrigerating warehouses, greenhouses and grain elevators in the country,

c) conducting an analysis in this area,

d) in order to determine the need for support measures, the establishment of a register of refrigerating warehouses, greenhouses and grain elevators in EAIS and the implementation of regular (monthly) reporting through this system will be ensured.

It should be noted that in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 27, 2019 № 759, farmers, suppliers, veterinarians, specialists in artificial insemination and other agricultural entities are used with services to provide state support in the field of agriculture in the country electronically, using the capabilities of EAIS.
