A meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture with a delegation from the Republic of Uganda

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova met with a delegation led by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, John Mulimba.

Welcoming the guests, Deputy Minister Ilhama Gadimova provided them with detailed information on the current state of the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan and mechanisms for state support for agriculture. She said that the Republic of Azerbaijan is interested in developing cooperation with partner countries in the agricultural sector, as well as in other areas.

The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uganda in the agricultural sector, information exchange on products with high export potential, increasing trade turnover in agricultural and food products, expanding ties between businessmen, and other issues.

State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, John Mulimba, emphasized that his country is a friendly country with Azerbaijan and is interested in developing partnership in all areas. He noted the existence of great potential for expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector. The parties expressed their mutual interest in deepening agricultural cooperation.

During the meeting, a wide exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
