The next meeting of the "Agrarian Advisory Council" Public Union was held

The meeting discussed the development prospects of the livestock sector

The next meeting of the "Agricultural Advisory Council" Public Union, which was established to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan and unites the largest companies in the country's agrarian sector, was held. The event was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture, members of the Agrarian Advisory Council, as well as representatives of various companies and associations. The purpose of the event was to analyze the current state of the livestock sector in the country, discuss challenges and development directions in this area, improve state support mechanisms and identify new opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Opening the event with an introductory speech, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov emphasized the strategic importance of the livestock sector in the country and noted that the development of this sector plays an important role in ensuring food security, increasing local production and reducing dependence on imports. The Minister said that the programs, subsidy mechanisms, investment projects and support provided to farmers implemented by the state are aimed at the sustainable development of the livestock sector.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Agrarian Advisory Council, Niyazi Amirbekov, drew attention to the fact that strengthening public-private partnerships, applying innovative approaches and benefiting from international experience are among the main directions in the development of the sector.

As part of the event, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture Zaur Aliyev made a presentation on the topic “State policy for the development of the livestock sector: Goals and opportunities”. The presentation provided information on the state support to be provided to the livestock sector, planned programs and development targets.

Then, Sanan Tahmazov, founder of “Koch et” LLC, made a presentation on the topic “Proposals for the development of the livestock sector”. He voiced his proposals on the current situation in the private sector in the livestock sector, ways to solve difficulties and strengthening cooperation with the state.

The participants of the event exchanged views on the current challenges of the livestock sector, opportunities for applying international experience, improving state support mechanisms and future cooperation directions, and the proposals were registered.
