On December 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Ksaba Leykon, President of John Deere for Central Asia and the CIS, CEO of John Deere Walldorf International LLC.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan has a vast potential for agriculture, and the work carried out at the state level to develop this sector was noted.
Stating that John Deere is successfully operating in our country, the guest expressed interest in expanding cooperation and provided information about the project they have put forward in Azerbaijan regarding the cotton industry.
Ksaba Leykon said that the development he witnessed in Baku made a deep impression on him.
The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the company, and exchanged views on the establishment of an education and training center, mutual experience, irrigation, logistics, and digitalization of the cotton and grain production value chain.
It should be noted that John Deere, founded in the United States in 1837, is one of the leading global companies engaged in the production of agricultural, construction and forestry equipment. The company's main areas of activity include the production of tractors, combines, and cotton picking machines. John Deere, which had a total revenue of nearly $52 billion last year, has factories and offices in more than 30 countries.
