Minister Majnun Mammadov met with a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman

The Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting with the delegation led by the Minister of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman, Saeed bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Saqri, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

Welcoming the guests, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov, said that there is great potential for developing cooperation between the two countries. The Minister noted that the discussions held allow exploring the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Sultanate of Oman and creating new partnerships. It was noted that it is important to strengthen relations between entrepreneurs, conduct regular exchange of information on export-oriented products, and explore the possibilities of mutual participation in international exhibitions held in both countries. Majnun Mammadov emphasized the importance of forming a legal framework for expanding cooperation in specific areas between the two countries.

Thanking for the warm welcome, the Minister of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman, Saeed bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Saqri, said that his country considers it important to expand trade relations with Azerbaijan and increase trade turnover in agricultural products. Proposing to form a legal basis for cooperation for this purpose, the Minister expressed his support for the proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of Oman.

The meeting included a wide exchange of views on projects for the effective organization of agriculture in the liberated territories, fisheries, technology transfer, exchange of experience and other topics.
