Minister Majnun Mammadov met with Canturk Alagoz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Türkiye’s Alagoz Holding Group of Companies

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with a delegation led by Canturk Alagoz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Alagoz Holding Group of Companies, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Majnun Mammadov said that friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are developing successfully in the agricultural sector, as in all other areas. Both countries cooperate closely and effectively in agricultural research, education, cotton growing, seed growing, veterinary medicine, agricultural insurance and other areas. Recalling that Turkish businessmen are actively participating in the process of investing in the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan, the Minister noted that there is great potential for cooperation in the agricultural sector between the two countries.

Canturk Alagoz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alagoz Holding Group of Companies, emphasized that the development of agriculture in our country is supported by the state, and this factor makes the process of investing in the agricultural sector more attractive. Canturk Alagoz, stating that the company he leads closely cooperates with the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan, noted that they are interested in investing in the agriculture of our country.

The parties reached an agreement on attracting investments in the fields of crop and livestock farming, and strengthening relations between businessmen operating in these areas. The meeting included a broad exchange of views on the prospects for future cooperation in the agricultural sector between the two countries, as well as mechanisms for state support for the agricultural sector.
