Prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector were discussed at the meeting
Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov provided detailed information to the meeting participants about state support for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan. It was noted that the agrarian reforms implemented in our country envisage the further development of agriculture and for this purpose, support measures are being implemented by the state.
Minister Majnun Mammadov recalled that during his visit to Israel in January of this year, he met with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of this country Avi Dichter, got acquainted with the activities of leading centers in the field of aquaculture and innovations, modern livestock enterprises and milk processing plants, and emphasized that effective cooperation has been established in the agricultural sector.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz, in turn, said that cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically in all areas. The parties emphasized their interest in further expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The meeting discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the agricultural sector, increasing trade turnover in the agricultural sector, expanding the activities of the Working Group, transferring the most modern technologies in the fields of animal husbandry and seed production, expanding cooperation in the fields of agricultural research and experimental programs, and studying Israeli experience in the field of irrigation. It was emphasized that there is great potential for expanding mutual relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector.
A broad exchange of views was held during the meeting on issues of mutual interest.
