Minister Majnun Mammadov met with Berik Arin, Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security

Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov met with Berik Arin, Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), who is visiting our country. The meeting discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of agriculture between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Organization for Food Security.

Welcoming the guests, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov said that cooperation with international organizations is continuing in order to apply advanced practices in the agricultural sector in our country. The Minister emphasized that our country is enthusiastically joining the initiatives arising from global challenges, and that Azerbaijan is interested in establishing effective cooperation with the OFS in the field of agriculture.

Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (OFS) Berik Arin, in turn, provided information about the activities of the organization he leads and the programs it implements. He expressed that importance is attached to cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture, and that they are interested in further developing relations in the agricultural sector.

The meeting discussed the upcoming completion of Azerbaijan's accession process to the OSCE, increasing trade turnover in agricultural products between the organization's member countries and facilitating trade, implementing international projects in line with Azerbaijan's national interests and agricultural policy priorities, expanding ties between businessmen of the organization's member countries, transferring modern technologies, and implementing internship programs in scientific research and education in the agricultural sector.

In the end, a broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
