A presentation on Azerbaijan's agricultural development and scientific potential was held in Uzbekistan

A presentation was held at the panel titled "Science, Research and Education" organized within the framework of the agribusiness forum "Innovations for Sustainable Agroecosystems, Regenerative Agriculture and Digitalization" held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, with the participation of Italy, Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, on the current state of the agrarian sector in Azerbaijan, the research ecosystem in this field and the role of scientific research in the development of agriculture.

In his presentation, Rashad Huseynov, Head of the Agricultural Research Center, emphasized that scientific research is the basis of sustainable agriculture. The presentation specifically emphasized the role of the agrarian sector in the development of the country's non-oil and gas sector, as well as the strategic importance of agrarian science in promoting innovation and technological modernization in the context of climate change, water scarcity and increasing demand. At the same time, detailed information was provided on the current state of agrarian science in the country, its institutional structure and human capital potential, and the effectiveness of research and the opportunities for applying innovative approaches were highlighted.

After the presentations, the participants' questions were answered, and the possibilities of conducting joint scientific research in the direction of agricultural development were discussed with foreign scientific research institutes and higher education institutions. In addition, information on existing investment opportunities in the agricultural sector was shared with foreign businessmen and private sector representatives.
