Minister Majnun Mammadov met with the Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan and the Executive Director of the TDT Representative Office in Budapest

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with Tamas Torma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan, Balaj Hendrix, Executive Director of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) Representation in Budapest, and Laszlo Örloş, Director of the Drought Prevention Institute.

Welcoming the guests, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov noted that he highly appreciated the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary, including cooperation within the framework of TSO. The Minister invited the Hungarian side to actively participate in the 2026 exhibition of the largest agricultural exhibition in the Caucasus, “Caspian Agro”, and to be represented with a national pavilion.

The parties emphasized their interest in expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The meeting discussed issues of strengthening cooperation and legal-contractual basis in the agricultural sector between Azerbaijan and Hungary, increasing trade turnover in agricultural and food products, transfer of the most modern technologies in the agricultural sector, implementation of joint regional and national projects in the fields of combating climate change, water and land management between the Drought Prevention Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, and implementation of experimental programs in the fields of scientific research and education in the agricultural sector.

A wide exchange of views was held during the meeting on issues of mutual interest.
