Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with the winners of the “Yukselish” competition

The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov, held a meeting with the winners of the “Yuksalish” competition. The meeting was attended by Farah Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism and Religious Affairs of the Presidential Administration, Chairwoman of the Organizing Committee of the “Yuksalish” competition, and Farhad Hajiyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Head of the Working Group of the “Yuksalish” competition.

The Minister assessed the “Yuksalish” competition as an important platform in terms of identifying individuals with managerial potential in the country, supporting their development and strengthening human capital. It was noted that such initiatives, in addition to promoting individual development, also serve to further improve the field of management in the country and to bring to the fore personnel with strong managerial skills in various areas.

Speaking about the activities carried out in the field under his leadership, the Minister drew attention to the work done to develop agriculture, strengthen food security, apply modern approaches in the agricultural sector, and promote production and employment in the regions.

During the meeting, the close participation of last year's winners in events and initiatives in the agricultural sector was also noted. It was noted that their participation in meetings, discussions and various activities related to the agricultural sector contributed to both expanding their knowledge in this area and gaining new perspectives in terms of practical management. In this regard, it was emphasized that the Mentoring Program played an important role in both the personal and professional development of the winners.

At the same time, the questions of interest to the winners were answered at the meeting, and a wide exchange of views was held on current priorities in the agricultural sector, future development prospects, the application of agrarian innovations, the development of regions and the strengthening of institutional management.

The "Yukselish" competition was established by the Decree signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on July 26, 2019. The winners of the competition receive a one-year personal development plan from their mentors and a cash prize of 20 thousand manats for self-development.

A relevant Order was signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on December 10, 2025, regarding the holding of the sixth "Yukselish" competition.
