The rules for providing subsidies to farmers have changed

From January 1, 2020, farmers will be provided with subsidies under a single mechanism. The decree of President Ilham Aliyev, “Creation of a new subsidy mechanism in the agricultural sector” means for the provision of farm subsidies under a single mechanism.

Thus, from the next year subsidies will be provided through the Subsidiary Information System (SIS), which is a subsystem of EAIS. Farmers who are not registered in this system will not be able to receive subsidies. A person who is registered on the e-government portal (myGov) can be considered as registrated and used other services provided on the portal. Granting subsidies to new rules will further improve farmers’ access to subsidies and prevent loss of time. Farmers will have access to a personal account created in EAIS via mobile phones, tablets and computers, will enter information about their farms, their forecasts and apply for subsidies without contacting the administration. Information about farmer’s land plots registered with EAIS, was planted and will be planted by them, as well as information of animals to subsidies will be reflected in the cabinet. Farmers whose documents were not changed, will not apply for subsidies. The mechanism of calculation of subsidies will also be changed by applying the coefficients to the base amount determined in 200 manats. In order to make flexible decisions on the field, the The Agricultural Subsidy Council will be established and the Council implements determination of the coefficients.
