More than 407,000 farmers were paid subsidies in 2020

During 2020, when subsidies were issued on request through the Electronic Agricultural Information System (EAIS), the state paid 407,298 farmers over 232 million 92 thousand manats of seed subsidies. The sowing subsidy was paid for autumn, spring and perennial crops carried out areas about 1.3 million hectares. 38 farmers received 1 million 828 thousand manats of subsidies for re-sowing corn.

Over the past period, 6,643,700 manats of animal subsidies were transferred to the farm cards of 37,807 farmers. This subsidy was granted to farmers for 66,437 calves that they received through artificial insemination.

22,185 beekeepers received subsidies worth more than 5 million manats for their bee colonies.

4,955 cocoon makers were paid about 2.2 million manats of cocoon subsidies.

19 thousand farmers who produced cotton, sugar beet, dry and wet tobacco, applied for crop subsidies. 34 million manats of seed subsidies were allocated to these farmers.

Seed growers who applied for a subsidy for seeds, said that they sold 75 thousand tons of products. They were awarded a subsidy of 5.5 million manats.

It was noted that currently farmers on autumn 2020 crops include crop declarations in EAIS. Payments for crop and seed subsidies are being continued. The Subsidy Council approved subsidy coefficients and quotas for 2021.
