Cooperation in the agricultural sector was discussed between Azerbaijan and Russia

A meeting was held between the Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov and the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Climate and Water Resources Ruslan Edelgeriev.

The meeting discussed the current situation in the agricultural sector between the two countries, and the parties emphasized the development of cooperation in the agricultural sector, as well as in other sectors of the economy.

The parties discussed the lowering of the level of the Caspian Sea, the modernization of irrigation systems in order to save water resources, which is one of the main goals of the new State Program on the agricultural sector, the organization of mutual testing of drought- and disease-resistant plant varieties, mutual participation in international exhibitions, fairs and agricultural festivals held in both countries, as well as other priority issues of interest to the parties.
