The insurance calculator of agricultural animals was put into use within the framework of the agricultural insurance mechanism with state support for the first time in Azerbaijan. According to the Agricultural Insurance Fund, owners of cattle and livestock farms will now be able to independently calculate the insurance coverage of their animals with the help of this calculator.
The purpose of the calculator is to provide farmers with more active information on agricultural insurance tariffs, including animal insurance premiums. Farmers and agricultural workers will be able to independently calculate the right and sum of animal insurance using the agricultural insurance calculator.
The method of using the agricultural insurance calculator is simple. Any person can easily calculate the type, number, and price of agricultural animals belonging to him/her by entering the calculator, as well as the desired guarantee and insurance term.
In addition to the total sum of insurance, when using the calculator, sums that the state and the farmer will be able to pay are also indicated separately. This will also help agricultural workers to be more easily acquainted with insurance tariffs and fees, to plan their income and expenses.

It is possible to insure cow and buffalo aged 1-7 years old through the agricultural insurance mechanism with the state support applied for the first time in the country. According to the rules of Agricultural Insurance, the state pays 50% of the calculated agricultural insurance fee.
It should be noted that earlier, for the first time in Azerbaijan, a calculator on agricultural insurance of sowing areas was also put into use. You can go through this link to the insurance calculator of plants:

Currently, the Agricultural Insurance Fund insures 1 kind of animals (dairy cow-buffalos), 14 kinds of plants (wheat, barley, paddy, corn, potato, grape, tangerine, lemon, orange, hazelnut, tea, cotton, tobacco, sugar-beet), and fish. These plants account for 85% of all sowing areas in the country. In the future, it is planned to further expand the list of insured plants and animals, as a result of which agricultural insurance covers 95% of all sowing areas in the country.
