A press conference was held dedicated to the 14th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition

A press conference were held dedicated to the 14th Azerbaijan International Agriculture (Caspian Agro 2021) and 26th Azerbaijan International Food Industry (InterFood Azerbaijan 2021) exhibitions at Baku Expo Center in June 10-12. Togrul Gafarbayli, Head of the protocol sector of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Edward Stron, Regional Director of “Caspian Event Organizers”, Farid Mammadov, General Director of “Caspian Event Organizers” and Zarina Mammadova, Project Manager of the company were attended at the event.

According to the organizers, both events are the first in the traditional format after a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic. Exhibitors will reunite for the first time after a two-year break to re-establish business contacts and establish new ones, as well as access current market information, as well as sign profitable contracts. The exhibition will be organized in full compliance with the requirements of the quarantine regime set by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the recommendations of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.

The exposition of "Caspian Agro 2021" and "InterFood Azerbaijan 2021" exhibitions will cover two halls of the Baku Expo Center, as well as the open area. The area of the open-air exhibition has increased compared to 2019. This year Azerbaijan, USA, Germany, Afghanistan, Belarus, Belgium, UAE, Bulgaria, China, Finland, France, India, Iran, Israel, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, 248 companies from 27 countries, including Turkey, Ukraine and Greece have confirmed their participation in these exhibitions.

This year, the exhibitions will present important and relevant innovations in the food and agricultural sectors. Special attention was paid to innovations, which are the driving force of each sector. Also, some exhibitors plan to demonstrate special proposals, projects and services for the development of the Karabakh region.

"Caspian Agro 2021" will feature a "smart farm", equipment for the livestock industry, agricultural machinery, laboratory equipment, new seed varieties and many other products. In total, 169 companies from 22 countries will take part in "Caspian Agro 2021", which will cover agricultural machinery, livestock and poultry, fodder, veterinary, plant growing, fertilizers, fruits and vegetables, greenhouse, e-agriculture, innovative technologies in agriculture, laboratory equipment.

This year, a special business program is planned for the exhibitions. Thus, the organizers annually organize exhibition tours for farmers from the regions and acquaint them with industry trends, innovations and international experience. The tours will be organized for farmers from this year's exhibitions are attended by 25 regions - Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Shaki, Gabala, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Gobustan, Guba, Gusar, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Gazakh, Tovuz, Shamkir, Agstafa, Kurdamir, Neftchala, Salyan, Astara, Lankaran, Masalli, Jalilabad and Bilasuvar districts. The exhibitions will be an additional platform for establishing new business contacts and strengthening existing ones - bilateral meetings (B2B).

For the first time, volunteers from the "Regional Development" Public Union ("RDPU") and organization of "Agrarian Development Volunteers"​ will take part in the three-day exhibition.

"Caspian Agro" and "InterFood Azerbaijan" exhibitions are held with the active support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibitions are also supported by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the Food Safety Agency, the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industry Association, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
