The 14th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition is being held in Baku

Today the 14th Azerbaijan International Agriculture (Caspian Agro 2021) and the 26th Azerbaijan International Food Industry (InterFood Azerbaijan 2021) exhibitions opened at the Baku Expo Center. The first exhibition, held in a traditional format after a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, was organized in full compliance with the requirements of the quarantine regime of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov said that as a result of the purposeful policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, our country entered a qualitatively new stage of development. Dynamic development continues in all sectors of our economy, including agriculture. The liberation of our occupied lands by our victorious army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief has created great opportunities for the re-development of the agricultural sector in those areas.

Ensuring the widespread use of advanced innovations and technologies in agriculture is one of the main tasks. In this regard, international agricultural exhibitions are of great importance in the transfer of modern technologies and best practices.

Speaking at the event, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, and Edward Stron, Regional Director of Caspian Event Organizers, called today's exhibition an important platform for restoring business ties and building new partnerships.

A total of 248 companies from 27 countries are represented at "Caspian Agro 2021" and "InterFood Azerbaijan 2021". "Caspian Agro 2021" showcases a "smart farm", equipment for the livestock industry, agricultural techniques, laboratory equipment, new seed varieties and other products. The exhibition also covers livestock and poultry, feed, veterinary, plant growing, fertilizers, fruit and vegetable growing, greenhouses, e-agriculture, innovative technologies in agriculture. The exhibition at "InterFood Azerbaijan 2021" presents equipment, food products, solutions for automation of production, packaging materials and other products for various sectors of the food industry.

The pavilion belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture demonstrates innovative solutions and achievements in the agricultural sector. Thus, the stand of innovative projects presents agro-drones that spread fertilizers and seeds, as well as identify and treat the spread of the disease. Visitors to the exhibition are also informed about AgroUber, which manages communication between farmers and mechanizers, as well as agrarian mobile laboratory projects. Also, the operation of modern grain harvesters in the open and the foothills is visually demonstrated.

For the first time, volunteers of the "Regional Development" Public Union and "Agrarian Development Volunteers" are taking part in the three-day exhibition.
