Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov got acquainted with the preparations for the new academic year at the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. The Minister visited the newly opened Biotechnology Center, attended the presentation of the new website of ASAU, got acquainted with the final completion of the Vocational Training Center, and met with teacher-student delegation of the university.
The Biotechnology Center of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University has been operating since this year. At the center, in the laboratory, clone subcutaneous forms are propagated by microclonal methods. The Biotechnology Center, equipped with the latest equipment, employs graduates of this university.
During the meeting with teachers in the Student Park, they exchanged views on the training of specialists in the field of agriculture, scientific research in this field, improving the quality of education, studying abroad in the framework of exchange programs for students and teachers, expanding the experience of attracting foreign specialists. The proposals voiced at the meeting were recorded, and relevant instructions were given to implement the appeals.
It was noted at the meeting with students at the Education Farm that the Summer School "Agriculture of Tomorrow" will be launched in the coming days by the joint organization of the "Agrarian Development Volunteers" and the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. Tomorrow with the participation of leading scientists of our country and foreign universities, representatives of international organizations, government and business structures, the Summer School will focus on agriculture, development of the agricultural sector in the liberated territories, global climate change, its impact on agrarian development and food security, agrarian youth and agrarian education. Trainings and meetings will be held on educational topics.
Minister Inam Karimov congratulated the students on their successful completion of the bachelor's degree and wished them success in their activities.
