Bilateral meetings were held as part of the international conference "Vision for the Future: Transition to Digital Agriculture"

As part of the international conference "Vision for the Future: Transition to Digital Agriculture", Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov met with Moldovan Minister of Agriculture and Food Viorel Gherciu, Tajikistan Minister of Agriculture Karimzoda Sadi, Director General of the International Organization of Grape and Wine (OIV) Pablo Roca Blasco, Bernard Hie, Regional Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and with the delegations.

During the meetings, detailed information was provided on the work done under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev to develop the agricultural sector in our country. Extensive discussions were held on the importance of digitalization in agriculture, the application of innovative technologies and solutions, ensuring the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, the exchange of experience in these areas.

It was also noted at the meetings that there is great potential for expanding cooperation in the field of agriculture. It was noted that the agrarian reforms implemented in Azerbaijan, tax exemptions for agricultural activities, liberalization of the market for agricultural machinery and breeding animals create ample investment opportunities for companies specializing in agriculture.

The sides stressed their interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture and the importance of holding conferences and meetings in this format.
