Baku hosts 15th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition

Prime Minister Ali Asadov got acquainted with the activities of the exhibition

The 15th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Agriculture (Caspian Agro 2022) and the 27th Azerbaijan International Food Industry (InterFood Azerbaijan) exhibitions started at the Baku Expo Center today.

Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey Vahit Kirisci, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel Oded Foreri, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia George Khanishvili and other officials “Caspian Agro 2022” and “InterFood Azerbaijan” exhibitions.

The Prime Minister was informed that Caspian Agro is the largest international agricultural exhibition in Azerbaijan. A total of 449 companies from 24 countries, including 101 local and 348 foreign companies, are participating in this year’s exhibitions, which feature a record number of national and regional stands. The exhibition was proven itself as a practical tool in the market for the application of advanced technologies in the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the exchange of experience between local and foreign experts in the field of agriculture, strengthening mutually beneficial business relations. The exhibition brought together key participants in the agricultural sector, local and foreign experts, including importers, exporters, distributors, wholesalers and retailers, as well as thousands of professional visitors, including farmers.

This year, Caspian Agro presents the Smart Agro direction, which covers areas such as smart villages, artificial intelligence, IT services, and drones. A conference on “Smart Agro: Promotion of Innovations in Agriculture” was held as part of the exhibition. The exhibition presents projects that have already been implemented under Smart Agro and are planned to be implemented in the liberated territories of Karabakh.

It should be noted that every year the organizers organize exhibition tours for farmers from the regions, and as part of this event, farmers can get acquainted with the latest industrial innovations. This year, tours have been organized for farmers from about 40 districts.

The 15th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition Caspian Agro 2022 and the 27th Azerbaijan International Food Industry InterFood Azerbaijan 2022 with the support of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan small businesses provide their products and services.

Caspian Agro 2022 and InterFood Azerbaijan 2022 are held with the active support and participation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibitions are organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industrialists Association, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The exhibitions will be ended on May 20.
