The 7th meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Economic Cooperation Organization member countries was held

The 7th meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member countries was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the event is to further strengthen the opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural field between OIC countries, to exchange experience on the application of innovative technologies in agriculture.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov said that ongoing regional processes and other global challenges that put food security under great stress require prompt and coordinated cooperation of OIC countries.

"Digital transformation will lead to climate change risk mitigation and adaptation. The digital agriculture transformation reform implemented in Azerbaijan is recognized by international organizations as one of the best global practices. Our country is ready to share this experience with the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

Speaking at the meeting, the speakers shared their views on cooperation in the agrarian sphere, further development of trade relations, mutual benefit from infrastructure and logistics opportunities, expansion of relations between agrarian companies and entrepreneurs, and discussed proposals for the development of projects aimed at new challenges at the regional level within the OIC platform.

At the end of the meeting, the final document of the 7th meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member countries was adopted.
