A meeting was held with start-ups specializing in the agrarian field at the Ministry of Agriculture

Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov met with the winners of the contests and competitions held in the agricultural field. Speaking at the meeting, the Minister said that in accordance with the policy defined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, important measures are being taken to implement innovative solutions in all areas. The introduction of innovations is one of the three main principles of the Ministry of Agriculture's activity. In order to increase productivity in the agricultural field and improve agricultural management, continuous support measures will be continued for the promotion and application of innovations in agriculture, the development of agrarian start-ups, and the wide use of innovations and digital technologies.

The participants of the "Teknofest" Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, "Agro X", "Greenovation", "Ideathon on Agrinnovation", "Baku Food Hackathon" competitions, which participated in the meeting, gave detailed information about their projects and the prototypes of new products and solutions they created. At the event, a device for harvesting hazelnuts, combating the "varatoz" mite in beekeeping, a platform for establishing direct links between local honey producers, artificial intelligence irrigation control equipment, a smart greenhouse management system, a biotechnology laboratory for processing citrus fruits, a system based on the synthesis of fish breeding and hydroponic farming presentations were held, product prototypes were displayed.

The authors of the startup projects said that they participated in the innovation festivals held in the regions, and thanked the Agrarian Innovation Center for the support provided in establishing direct relations with farmers.
