Due to the beginning of autumn sowing, the Ministry of Agriculture has initiated an information campaign throughout the regions. The campaign with the slogan "100 trainings in 100 villages" is implemented by the Agrarian Training Center of the Agrarian Services Agency. The purpose of organizing interactive events is to strengthen farmers' skills and knowledge as well as to inform them about the proper organization of agrotechnical activities on the eve of autumn sowing. Within the framework of the project, 35 thousand farmers are expected to be involved in trainings.
For this purpose, trainings were started by the professionals of the Agrarian Training Center in 100 villages selected in 18 regions.
The initial training sessions were held in Kursangi, Khalaj, Karabagli, Shorsulu villages of the Salyan region and Ashagi Garamanli village of the Neftchala region. The farmers involved in the training were provided information on the agrotechnical measures necessary to obtain abundant and quality crops, the technological map of grain planting, the sequence of agrotechnical measures, sowing and fertilizer standards, the benefits of agrochemical analysis for farmers, the positive effect of using certified seeds on productivity, the crop rotation system, diseases in grain fields, the prevention of pests and rodents and other relevant topics were covered and the questions that interested them were clarified.
To make sure that farmers have access to high-quality, certified seeds and fertilizers, mobile seed and fertilizer sales are also organized in the villages where trainings were held.
Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov, who participated in the training held in the village of Ashaghi Garamanli of Neftchala region, encouraged farmers to actively participate in the trainings. The minister said that one of the main activities of the ministry is to involve farmers in trainings in various areas of the agricultural sector. For this purpose, the annual training plan has been approved by the Ministry and based on the plan, field trainings on various topics are organized by the employees of various institutions of the Ministry, including the specialists of the Agrarian Training Center. The trainings held on the eve of autumn planting will allow farmers to successfully apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in practice, as a result, to end the season with a high yield and more income.
At the event, a survey was conducted to identify training needs, and farmers' suggestions were registered.
