A meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture with the delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture of Hungary Istvan Nagy, who was on the visit to Azerbaijan.
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Majnun Mammadov who was welcoming the guets, gave detailed information to the guests about the main directions of the agrarian development strategy in our country, state support for the agricultural sector, implemented innovative projects.
It was mentioned that the cooperation between the two countries in all fields is improving dynamically. Our country supports initiatives to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in all fields. The Minister Majnun Mammadov called on Hungarian entrepreneurs to evaluate investment opportunities in Azerbaijan reminding that Azerbaijan has a reliable and affordable business environment.
Istvan Nagy verbalized his gratitude for the warm welcome and expressed that Hungary and Azerbaijan are friendly countries and that they are curious in developing partnership relations in all fields. Stating that Hungarian entrepreneurs are interested in investing in Azerbaijan, Istvan Nagy emphasized that promotion measures will be implemented in this direction.
Cooperation opportunities in the agricultural field between the two countries were debated at the meeting. The parties noted that Azerbaijan and Hungary have a great potential to expand partnership in agricultural field. It was stated that the transfer of modern technologies in agricultural field, the training of specialists in the agrarian sector and the export of agricultural products can be the main directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary in the field of agriculture.
The parties agreed on the entaglement of young Azerbaijani specialists in the available practice programs in Hungary, the continuation of cooperation in the field of animal breeding (embryo transfer), the study of Hungarian experience in the field of poultry and the initiation of cooperation in this field.
Other issues of mutual interest were also debated at the meeting
