Minister Majnun Mammadov participated in the grain harvesting process in Ismayilli and visited farms.

Grain harvesting continues in the Republic. Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov got acquainted with the process of grain harvesting in Ivanovka village of Ismayilli district.

30186 hectares of autumn grain were planted in Ismayilli district this year. 22609 hectares of crops are wheat fields, 7577 hectares are barley fields. Harvesting has already begun in barley fields throughout the district. 21 harvesters are involved in the harvesting process. Harvesting has been completed on 2,500 hectares, and 7,915 tons have been harvested from the fields until today. The average grain yield is 31.7 quintals.

In the autumn grain sowing season of 2022-2023, grain was sown in the village of Ivanovka on an area of 4,700 hectares. Harvesting has already begun from the fields. High productivity has been achieved in areas with high agrotechnical care.

Minister Majnun Mammadov watched the grain harvesting process in Ivanovka village, met with local farmers and exchanged views on modern agrotechnical measures to be implemented to increase productivity in grain fields. The discussions with farmers focused on the right choice of planting material, alternating sowing, organization of weed and pest control during the growing season, methods for maintaining soil moisture in low-growing crops and other topics.

The Minister got acquainted with vineyards, sunflower fields, seed crops in Ivanovka village, visited Ismayilli Seed Processing Plant, modern livestock complex established by “Azza Agro” company in Keyvandi village, modern intensive and superintensive gardens built in Galinchag village. Discussions were held on the establishment of dairy products processing enterprises in the regions, organization of fruit exports in accordance with modern standards, diversification of export markets, the need to obtain international export certificates and other topics during the meetings,.

Minister Majnun Mammadov also got acquainted with the activities of the Ismayilli State Agricultural Development Center, met with the team and was interested in the organization of services for farmers during the visit.
